Periodical publications such as magazines, newspapers and journals vary in quality and depth of coverage. Instructors will frequently want you to select articles from scholarly journals (sometimes called "refereed" or "peer-reviewed" journals, though the terms don't mean exactly the same thing).

The following journals usually have free online access to some articles. If you see an article that you would like that is not free, please request the article by filling out an Interlibrary loan (ILL) request. ILL is a free service available to CFCC student where you can request journal, magazine, and newspaper articles that are not in the CFCC collection.
