    Some CFCC databases offer a choice of either:

    "Chicago 17th Edition (Author-Date System)"

    or

    "Turabian 8th Edition (Reference List)"

    Be consistent and follow your instructor's guidelines when preparing your citations.

    Style Manuals in the Library

    Most style manuals are not available in full-text online, but the Library Reference Desk has a copy of the print manual available.

    Microsoft Word, most subscription databases, and online resources such as MyBib offer shortcuts to formatting citations.

    However, the citations given are

    NOT ALWAYS ACCURATE  If you use these online tools, it is important to double check the accuracy of your citations--especially CAPITALIZATION-- against the official citation rules for that style.
