The Yellow Ribbon Program makes additional funds available for your education program without an additional charge to your GI Bill entitlement. Specifically, it allows funds beyond the GI Bill entitlement if the veteran student enrolls in a private school where tuition and fees are more than the GI Bill allowances.

The primary vehicle for federal assistance to veterans is the Montgomery GI Bill. The secondary vehicle is the Veterans Education Assistance Program, or VEAP.

Dependents' Educational Assistance provides education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of certain veterans. The program offers up to 45 months of education benefits. Wartime veterans and their surviving spouses, 65 years and older, may be entitled to a tax-free benefit called Aid and Attendance. The benefit was designed to provide financial assistance to help offset the cost of long-term care in an assisted living facility or for in home care.

f you served in the active military service and were separated under any condition other than dishonorable, you may qualify for VA health care benefits. Current and former members of the Reserves or National Guard who were called to active duty by a federal order and completed the full period for which they were called or ordered to active duty may be eligible for VA health benefits as well.

Health benefits are available for all seven branches of the Uniformed Services: the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
