AIA sponsors continuing education, sets the industry standard in contract documents, provides web-based resources for emerging architecture professionals, market research, sponsors awards and conferences, and provides advocacy for the profession.

Our goal is straightforward: to achieve a dramatic reduction in the climate-change-causing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of the Building Sector by changing the way buildings and developments are planned, designed and constructed.

By tapping a network of more than 50,000 professionals willing to lend time & expertise to help those who would not otherwise be able to afford their services, we bring design, construction & development services where they are most critically needed.

Each year 25,000 people directly benefit from structures designed by the Open Architecture Collaborative. Our advocacy, training & outreach programs impact an additional 60,000 people annually. We channel the resources of the global funding community to meaningful projects that make a difference locally. From conception to completion, we manage all aspects of the design and construction process. Our clients include community groups & organizations, housing developers, government agencies, corporate divisions & foundations.

USGBC works toward its mission of market transformation through its LEED green building program, robust educational offerings, a nationwide network of chapters and affiliates, the annual Greenbuild International Conference & Expo, and advocacy in support of public policy that encourages and enables green buildings and communities.
