Published continuously since 1977, Computer Music Journal (CMJ) is a quarterly journal that covers a wide range of topics related to digital audio signal processing and electroacoustic music. It is published (in hard copy and on-line) by MIT Press.

Contemporary Music Review is a contemporary musicians' journal. It provides a forum where new tendencies in composition can be discussed in both breadth and depth. Each issue will focus on a specific topic. The main concern of the journal will be composition today in all its aspects--its techniques, aesthetics and technology and its relationship with other disciplines and currents of thought. The publication may also serve as a vehicle to communicate actual musical materials.

Our mission is to stimulate the international study and appreciation of the rich legacy of jazz and its many musical and cultural tangents, both past and present. The journal aims to bridge the jazz-as-music and jazz-as-culture divide of contemporary jazz studies, as well as to promote broader international perspectives on the jazz tradition and its legacy.

The Journal of Film Music is a forum for the musicological study of film from the standpoint of dramatic musical art. The analytical tools and methodologies of historical, systematic, cognitive, and ethnomusicology all are relevant and essential to this study, which seeks to both document and illuminate film practice through source studies, analysis, theory, and criticism.

JMRO publishes English language scholarly research articles in areas including, but is not limited to, the following: Composition, Early Music, Ethnomusicology, Gender Studies in Music, Interdisciplinary Studies in Music, Music Education, Music Technologies, Musicology, Performance Practice, and Popular Music.

The primary aim is to increase and develop interest and activity in the field of music analysis, chiefly by: organisation of an annual programme of events and meetings, usually comprising at least two seminar days (spring and autumn), TAGS day (early summer) and a biennial conference (summer), provision of a national focus for all those interested in the subject, establishment of educational and career-development opportunities for younger analysts, currently including the provision of prestigious student bursaries, and enhancement of international collaboration.

The Music Business Journal, published at Berklee College of Music, is a student publication that serves as a forum for intellectual discussion and research into the various aspects of the music business. The goal is to inform and educate aspiring music professionals, connect them with the industry, and raise the academic level and interest inside and outside the Berklee Community.
