Banking and Finance Certificate
Banking and finance is a concentration under the title of Business Administration. This curriculum is designed to prepare individuals for a career with various financial institutions and other businesses.
This program stresses the importance of customer relations in the business world. Emphasis is placed on developing communication tools, understanding the business environment and learning how to respond to complex customer requirements and to efficiently handle stressful situations. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate the ability to understand and communicate with customers and resolve problems and complaints.
This program is meant to prepare interested students to plan, organize and start a small business. It will provide the basic business, marketing, and computer literacy to enable aspiring entrepreneurs to move forward with their business plans.
The Business Technologies Department
The Business Technologies Department is comprised of six major curricular programs, located predominantly at the North Campus, offering five Applied Associate’s degrees and a wide variety of certificate programs. We have a diverse professional group of full-time and part-time faculty with degrees ranging from bachelor’s to doctorate degrees.
