World Cafe celebrates Black History Month with a special on the birth of rap, in which rapper Kurtis Blow, DJ Grand Wizard Theodore, and museum curator Jim Fricke help host David Dye explore the birth of hip-hop.

Hip-hop is a form of popular music that's comprised mainly of four elements: emceeing, deejaying, graffiti and breakdancing.

The main goal of The Network is to represent the four main elements of hip-hop equally and everyday life in the hip-hop community. We are not a "rap" web-site. We are a hip-hop web-site. The founders of The Network have been apart of the hip-hop scene/culture since 1982 and were not satisfied with how hip-hop is being represented in the media as a whole.

The National Museum of Hip-Hop (NMoH) is a collective of intellectuals dedicated to the institutionalization and preservation of Hip-Hop Culture. NMOH DOES NOT CURRENTLY HAVE A PHYSICAL SPACE/LOCATION outside of its corporate offices. Nevertheless, NMoH has been collecting historic hip-hop artifacts and paraphernalia for years as well as interpreting and confirming historic hip-hop facts and information, which will all be available on its website and digital properties and at physical exhibitions held at affiliate facilities. NMoH is the 1st and only state-chartered museum for hip-hop.
