The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) is the leading association for the construction industry. AGC provides a full range of services satisfying the needs and concerns of its members, thereby improving the quality of construction and protecting the public interest.

The Association of Wall-Ceiling and Carpentry Industries (WC&C) is the principal organization advocating the interests of contractors, suppliers and manufacturers in the wall and ceiling industries. The Association of Wall-Ceiling & Carpentry Industries provides support for contractors in a number of critical areas including legislative advocacy, insurance and safety.

Our mission is to promote building approaches that are environmentally responsible, healthy and financially sound.
Cape Fear Green Building Alliance seeks to bring together professionals in the building industry, including architects, designers, contractors, builders, realtors and developers, as well as concerned members of the general public. We support education for both industry professionals and the public regarding green building practices, technologies and products, and are committed to furthering the awareness and presence of green building in the Cape Fear Region.

The Institute of Carpenters (IOC), aims to promote excellence in the use of wood and exists to support members who aspire to the highest standards of workmanship and professional conduct. Membership is not restricted to carpenters - we also welcome formwork carpenters, furniture & cabinet makers, boat builders (woodworking skills), joiners, shopfitters, heavy structural post & beam carpenters, wheelwrights, wood carvers & wood turners.

The National Remodelers Association and the National Home Improvement Council joined to establish the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). Today, NARI has 58 chapters nationwide and has enjoyed a sizeable growth period during the past decade. In 2000, NARI moved its national headquarters from Alexandria, Virginia, to Des Plaines, Illinois, and as the voice of the remodeling industry, continues to prosper. NARI’s Core Purpose is to advance and promote the remodeling industry’s professionalism, product and vital public purpose.

The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America represents more than a half-million men and women who provide the construction industry with productive, competitive, and expert work on a daily basis.
