The American Society of Cinematographers, founder in 1919, is a non-profit association dedicated to advancing the art of filmmaking through education.

"Our goal is to inspire, educate and promote those learning motion picture production and artistry. Film and Video makers of all levels can join to network, learn and grow in our Community. We focus on technology, new techniques, new workflows and creativity in the five distinct stages of production: Development, Pre-Production, Production, Post-Production and Distribution."

The objectives and purposes of the AMERICAN CINEMA EDITORS are to advance the art and science of the editing profession; to increase the entertainment value of motion pictures by attaining artistic pre-eminence and scientific achievement in the creative art of editing; to bring into close alliance those editors who desire to advance the prestige and dignity of the editing profession.

Tribeca Film Institute champions storytellers to be catalysts for change in their communities and around the world.

The Film Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in 1990 dedicated to protecting and preserving motion picture history. By working in partnership with archives and studios, the foundation has helped to restore nearly 700 films, which are made accessible to the public through programming at festivals, museums, and educational institutions around the world.

The Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA®) is the global trade association of the independent motion picture and television industry and the voice and advocate for the Independents worldwide.
