The Baroque style of art began in Rome about 1600 and continued until about 1750. Rococo art, also called Late Baroque, began in France around 1700 and lasted through the 18th century.

18th century art includes late Baroque in the early 18th century, Rococo in the mid-18th century, Neo-Classicism in the 18th to 19th century, and Romanticism in the late 18th and 19th century.
